Kubernetes

"Kubernetes is an open-source system for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. It groups containers that make up an application into logical units for easy management and discovery.1"

Kubernetes was orginally designed by Google Engineers and v1.0 was released on July 21, 2015. It is now maintained by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation.
